Vehicles in Germany's City Discovered Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Police State

Officers reported they were alerted by a individual who noticed a automobile in Hanau marked with red-colored fluid

Around fifty vehicles have been covered with what seems to be human blood in the Germany's town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Automobiles, walls and postal boxes were vandalized, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they reported in a statement.

Officers report they were notified during the night on Wednesday night, when a resident noticed that a car in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored substance.

The liquid had been drawn in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Officers then discovered many other marked vehicles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.

Swastikas are illegal in Germany under legislation prohibiting the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Police report preliminary tests suggest the liquid was most likely human blood.

"At present there remains no lead as to its source; investigators are not yet informed of any injuries in connection with the occurrence," they added.

Municipal representatives announced they were working "to solve the mystery" and have requested to the residents for tips.

A senior political figure said the vandalism made him speechless and needed to be resolved promptly.

"This incident hits the center of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the far-right violent incident in 2020," he posted on a platform, referring to the murder of nine victims by a shooter aiming at residents of immigrant origin in five years prior.
